Invisible emmie summary5/7/2023 ![]() ![]() The book needs a complete rewrite since it had potential. All the crushes, humiliation, boredom, and drama of middle school are compressed into one surprising day' - back cover. "You Guys are great, you accept my math disablities"-Įmmie is quite selfish, she talks about great it was FOR HER when her BFF'S parents divorced. Invisible Emmie (Book) : Libenson, Terri : 'This is the story of two totally different girls-quiet, shy, artistic Emmie and popular, outgoing, athletic Katie-and how their lives unexpectedly intersect one day, when an embarrassing note falls into the wrong hands. In the first prologue, the author makes fun of people with disabilities, the book teases books like it that have characters with disabilities, how disgusting! That is rule number 1 in how not to be edgy, it's already trying to scream "I'm not like other books" but in the wrong way.Īlso making fun of people's scent and eyes, no, I did not sign up to read this, I wanted to read what the blurb said, a story about a girl who is quiet, socially awkward and comes to change. Perfect for fans of Raina Telgemeier and Jennifer L. This book is perfect for anyone who likes humor, heart, and ridiculously fun drawings. It’s a spin-off of Invisible Emmie, starring Emmie’s lovably brainy bff, Brianna, and an entirely new character, Izzy. A book that is written for middle school. Unfortunately, the negatives and controversial things outweighed the good. Positively Izzy is the second book in the drama-filled world of Emmie & Friends. Invisible Emmie by Terri Libenson is a graphic book for tweens that talks about the social aspects of growing up.
